F/L H. J. F. Kerr, known as Jimmy, was a pilot noted in the 440 Squadron Operation Records by May 1945. Although he was administratively with 440, it appears he did not fly with a Typhoon with this squadron; he did not fly a Typhoon after he left No. 83 GSU. He was posted to 403 Squadron June 30, 1945. He had been an air gunner prior to getting his pilot's wings. He was originally from Russell, Ontario.
